The StoryTime project is a project emerging from the NCA Education Committee. StoryTime is a 30 minute television program featuring an older person telling a story to a group of children and emphasizing active ageing principles. Each story contains positive messages and is centered on life in Belize. The project serves as an intergenerational activity and a stimulant to promote reading among children between the ages of 6 and 12.
The project is aimed at achieving the following objectives:
Promoting intergenerational relationships.
Reinforcing the role of older persons as a source of knowledge
Promote reading to and for children.
Promote positive images of ageing and older persons
