Golden Age Heroes Award

The National Council on Ageing is pleased to inform the general public that we are now
accepting nominations for our Golden Age Heroes Awards for October 1st, 2009. October 1st
has been chosen as the date to recognize our Golden Age Heroes because it is celebrated as
International Day of Older Persons.

The National Council on Ageing recognizes that there are countless people in Belize that have
provided voluntary service to organizations and communities for many years and have done so
not expecting to be thanked for their contributions. Therefore, the National Council on Ageing,
by organizing this annual event, wishes to honor these “heroes” publicly.

Many organizations would not survive if it were not for the hard work of dedicated and active
older persons so the NCA encourages the public to tell us who they are and what difference they
have made to society by making nominations before July 31, 2009.

Nomination forms are available at the National Council on Ageing Office or by clicking here. For further information contact us at 501-822-1546 or e-mail us at ncabze@yahoo.com
