The National Council on Ageing consists of eighteen members (The Executive Committee) who represent the Government, Non Government, International, private and religious organisations. The Term of office for the council members should not exceed two years.

In addition to the eighteen members, the NCA is presided over by the Minister's designate, who acts as the Chairperson and the Executive Director of the Secretariat
